  I love this place. (And, yes, I've eaten at Lasserre and Tour d'Argent, so minus one star, but this is upstate NY!) I've been going there for at least 20 years mostly during racing season. Great wine list. (Small but obviously carefully selected.) Excellent FREE pate. Nice menu. Family run and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere.

  This USED to be my favorite restaurant. We went with a friend for our anniversary, and we probably won't be back. We started with ordering the specials, only to be told later that they were only apps. The vegetable was also changed from carrots to green beans, and the beets served were like canned- not the baby beets they used to serve. The pate served was one slice maybe 1/4" thick for the 3 of us to split. It was dry.The shrimp and crab meat app had 2 medium shrimp that looked and tasted like the bag of frozen shrimp from the grocery store- opaque,no taste, and the 6 little points of crab was so salty, it tasted like canned. $15 Another app was frogs legs- my regular & favorite. It came in a little metal dish- all little pieces of leg drowned in sauce, with one full leg on top.$11 It was like I got what was left at the bottom of the bag. The bleu cheese dressing had no chunks of bleu cheese, and the vinagrette was scant. This is NOT the Chez Pierre I knew and loved :( For dinner, Escalope Vosgienne was drowning in sauce and mediocre $28, The filet mignon was served on a bare plate- no sauce, no garnish, nothing--and was tough $32, The veal oscar at $31 was again salty from the canned crab, and over cooked asparagus , and swam in sauce-although the veal had good flavor. We were very surprised to see t-shirts, jeans & baseball caps in the main dining room too. I miss the old Chez Pierre !!! What happened?

  First I Googled to find the menu, super easy to find the Web site and super easy to find the menu on the Web site! Staff is amazing, so friendly and accomodating. Food it out of this world! Great atmosphere, good wine selection, a new favorite!
